This blog is run by the staff at Triangle Farms. We are a large farm, in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, that plants, grows, harvests, cleans, packages and sells flower seed, grass seed, pasture seed, cover crop and many other types of seed. The farm is versatile in the crops that can be grown due to its location so we have literally grown many thousands types of crops.
Along with being farmers, growers and harvesters of many of the same flower, grass and vegetables that home gardeners are growing we are also very enthusiastic about the outdoors and especially about gardening. Thus, this blog is meant to be mostly an informational resource for the public and also for our clientele. Not only do we want to sell our seed products but we want to encourage gardening as a more Eco-friendly way to live and eat. Most of our articles come from our own experience of successfully growing and harvesting thousands of species of flower, grass and other types of seed. Some articles are a conglomeration of common knowledge meant to help the home or backyard gardener in their gardening endeavors.
We are located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains on the Northeast side of the Willamette Valley. Our growing areas extend from Mt. Angel to the Silver Creek Falls, which gives us an elevation change of 300′ to 1700′ with some irrigation. The crops we grow include flowers, grass, forbs, vegetables, herbs, forage and specialty grains for seed.
